When I&#039;m coming up with evidence to justify my comments about myself in my self-evaluation, I have a lot of artifacts (primarily my weekly status updates) to draw on, and I&#039;m doing so in the context of goals that I know I&#039;ve had over the course of the review period.  When I&#039;m reviewing my manager, I don&#039;t have that record to draw on.</description>
